Rusty Miller has been around football his whole life. After watching Super Bowl XXXIX, he decided to start playing the game at age 9. Playing up through middle school and high school as a quarterback, wide receiver, safety, and cornerback, Miller excelled during his senior year as an inside linebacker at Northern York High School in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania.
As a current Sport Management student at East Stroudsburg University, Miller has worked with organizations such as the United Services Organization (USO), The Salvation Army, The National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), and the Special Olympics. Miller has also been a recreation league official for the school along with being a participant in multiple recreation sports. Miller has held the athletics chair position for his fraternity, Theta Chi, which entailed Miller to sign up the fraternity for the aforementioned recreation league sports at the university. Currently Miller works at a sporting goods store selling apparel and equipment for a multitude of sports.
As a recent graduate of the Sport Management Worldwide (SMWW) course, Football GM & Scouting, Miller was taught the most up-to-date techniques in scouting from industry professionals, SMWW founder, Dr. Lynn Lashbrook, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager, Mark Dominik, former Cleveland Browns player and Dallas Cowboys Director of Pro Scouting, John Wooten, and current NFL scouting expert and analyst, Russ Lande.
As a follower of the NFL and NCAA, Miller has a keen eye for identifying talent. He has a high knack for high tolerance individuals and holds them to a greater standard. Miller has a wonderful knowledge of the NFL Draft and the scouting process, which allows him to evaluate talent at a high level with consistency. A very personable communicator, Miller is willing to provide assistance with anyone seeking to know more about scouting and any player.
