Gil Alvaro began coaching football in 1994 as the WRs and QBs coach for his alma mater, West Covina High School in Southern California. Since then, he has tutored QBs and WRs throughout Southern California at high schools in the San Gabriel Valley (West Covina HS, Covina Northview, La Puente, Baldwin Park, Montclair) the Inland Empire (Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos HS and Etiwanda), and North County San Diego (Oceanside HS). Outside football, he took his lifelong interest in languages and literature to California State University Long Beach, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature. From there, he attended graduate school at San Diego State University to study Literature and Philosophy, obtaining an MA in English. He has taught English at various high schools in Southern California for the last twelve years. He is a recent graduate of SMWW’s Football GM and Scouting course. |
