Sports Management Worldwide Certified Baseball Scout | Director of Player Development | Driveline Baseball Certified With more than 35 years of experience in baseball, Darryl Pui brings a proven blend of scouting insight, player development expertise, and instructional leadership to athletes across all levels of the game. A former student-athlete and graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken, Darryl earned certifications in Player Development & Strategy and GM and Scouting through Sports Management Worldwide, where he was mentored by industry leaders including 3-time MLB Executive of the Year Dan Duquette, former Los Angeles Dodgers GM Dan Evans, and longtime Dodgers scout Hank Jones. As an instructor, Darryl is Driveline Baseball certified in Youth Development, Foundations of Hitting, and Foundations of Strength. He leverages these methods in private training, specialized clinics, and guest instruction to help athletes build sustainable, data-driven skill progression. Darryl currently serves as a Director of Player Development for a youth baseball organization, where he oversees talent identification, long-term development planning, and the creation of training infrastructure designed to elevate athletes and coaches within his community. In addition to his baseball background, Darryl brings 15+ years of corporate experience as an Instructional Designer, having developed and delivered web-based training solutions to more than 1,500 sites nationwide—expertise that strengthens his ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to players, parents, and coaching staffs.
